Going solo live for Take That's Gary Barlow

Gary Barlow has announced a 16 date UK and Ireland tour, and tickets will go on sale this Friday 19th October 2012, coincidentally the same day that Girls Aloud are set to make a special announcement (see our previous blog listing)!


The tour kicks off in Bournemouth on 13th November 2012 and finishes in Belfast on 8th January 2013.  All the dates being midweeks, so as not to interfere with Gary's X-Factor commitments.

Girls Aloud Tribute Bands Are Back In The Limelight!

They are the most successful UK girl band ever, and now Girls Aloud have not only reformed but are thought to be due to release a brand new single!

Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts are now household names, but it was on 30th November back in 2002 that ITV1 talent show Popstars The Rivals formed the group and catapulted them to twenty consecutive top ten UK hits, 4 platinum albums, concert tours and numerous awards!  Now they're back with a teaser video of what is thought to be a new single and news of a special announcement on Friday 19th October 2012 on the official Girls Aloud website!

Already the enquiries have resurged for the Girls Aloud Tribute Bands, Girls Alouder, Girls B Loud, Girls R Aloud and Girls Out Loud, who will be all too keen to add any new single to their repertoire.  The question though is how will this affect the enquiries and subsequent bookings for these Girls Aloud tributes?  Well it really does depend on a few factors:  how popular will a new single be; will there be an album;  will there be a tour; and subsequently how popular will a possible album and tour be with not only the public, but also the general press and industry critics as a whole?  I suppose we'll all just have to wait until this Friday to begin to find out, but if Cheryl Cole's new autobiography is anything to go by then we may be hearing of a greatest hits collection and a final headline tour!!

Tamla Motown Tribute Band Sells Out!

The UK's No.1 Soul & Tamla Motown Production in the UK - THE CURVETTES - have had to add a second night to one of their shows in November this year due to selling out!

The full to capacity Motown tribute show takes place on Friday 9th November 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Nottingham.  A second night has now been booked on Saturday 10th November 2012 to cope with ticket demand!

The back to back performances are the culmination of the ever growing popularity for The Curvettes, the UK's Tamla Motown Tribute Band, who range from a 7 piece up to a full 10 piece line up!

Okay, coming up this year we've got the London 2012 Olympics in July & August, the England Football Team competing at Euro 2012 in June, and a little celebration this weekend that is uniting the whole country - The Queens Diamond Jubilee!  So what could be better enterainment for a good old knees up and sing-a-long than music by Chas n Dave - or at least a tribute act to them!

The Greatest Take That Tribute Band perform in Bahrain!

A sensational night was had by all in the searing heat in Bahrain as The Greatest Take That Tribute Band flew 4000 miles, courtesy of sponsors British Airways to perform at The British Club in Manama!

 

The show, which took place at the beginning of May 2012 was a special outdoor 'Take That' tribute night concert for members and guests held in the venues grounds.  The Greatest were chosen above all other Take That tribute acts to perform due to their uncanny & unrivalled soundalike ability and because of the inclusion of Matthew Holbrook (aka Millennium) the No.1 Robbie Williams tribute act within The Greatest's 2 hour Take That tribute show.  Matthew had previously performed in Bahrain in November 2009, which culminated in him jumping from the stage into the pool at the end of his show!  Funnily enough everyone remembered him!

 

"What a trip!  What a night!  What a show!"  Were the comments from The Greatest boys, but what they forgot to mention was the 'No need to Relight Your Fire' heat at 44°C heat (108F), which made for a very interesting sound check during the afternoon and a sweltering show at night!

 

Things are also hotting up for The Greatest Take That Tribute Band internationally as corporate demand for the show is growing worldwide.  With Germany, Scotland, Wales and now Bahrain, plus with Italy, Spain, and Malta to come in August this year, The Greatest have confirmed themselves as the first truly 'International' corporate Take That Tribute Band!

 

The Greatest even caught the attention of the Bahrain press with an article in the Gulf Daily News newspaper and due to the success of the show a rebooking is already in the pipeline!

StarBookers Entertainers Shine at Luxury Hotel VIP re-launch in Oman!

StarBookers were proud to have been chosen to provide the entertainment for the relaunch of the Al Bustan Palace - A Ritz Carlton Hotel in Muscat, Oman.

A total of 14 performers in total were flown out from the UK to perform for the VIP audience which included royalty which took place on the 25th January 2012!

 

Amongst the entertainers were the amazing Silk Aerialists (as seen on the BBC TV trailers), the stunning string quartet Siren, those talented undercover magic waiters Waiters With Magic, and the mayhem, glitz & red carpet glamour (or should that be clamour) that is Paparazzi Attack, our very own fake paparazzi!  Lets just say the over zealous security staff had their work cut out in keeping the noisy, light bulb popping Paparazzi Attack at bay!

The launch evening was a huge success, with all of the artistes playing crucial parts in the overall presentation.

Michael Jackson Tribute jailed for fraud!

The Mail Online headline of 'Not Such A Smooth Criminal' was not only hilarious but quite apt for a very serious offence that took place by Emerson a Michael Jackson Tribute Act who had been working throughout the UK and abroad over the past few years. 



Smooth Criminal receives jail sentence!



Emerson (real name Amar Clement) was convicted of fraud at Oxford Crown Court after stealing £75,000 from Natwest bank customers in 101 fraudulent transactions. 

 

When not working as a Michael Jackson tribute Emerson aka Amar Clement worked as a customer services officer at a branch of Natwest, where he used the bank's computer system to access account holders details.

 

Judge Patrick Eccles jailed Emerson for 18 months describing the crime as a 'carefully organised and sophisticated fraud'.
